Opps!

I had a frantic call from one my customers a little while ago, she had bought one of my girls - Fallon - at the York miniature fair in June. Mrs Gabby explained, unfortunately, before she had time to unpack her, the puppy she was temporarily looking after, thought he would help, in true puppy fashion. Could I possibly restore her?

After close inspection at the Yeovil Fair, I was pleasantly surprised, miraculously the clothing and porcelain (including the fine fingers) remained unscathed, however, Fallon does need a complete new wig and also her boots need touching up. See the photos, poor Fallon.

With a little TLC I think I can apply a little magic and make the doll as good as new.

Charity Fair

A kind reminder there is a Dolls house miniature fair at Yeovil, The Rugby Club, Dorchester Road,  BA22 9TR - Sunday 03 July 2011, this is in aid of ST. Margaret's Hospice.  There will be a good attendance from many craftsman / exhibitors showing a wonderful array of dolls house items, furniture, dolls and doll kits, haberdashery and miniature maintenance.

Whether a keen miniaturist enthusiast, or just wanting to visit for casual interest, you can be assured of a warm welcome.

A WARM WELCOME

Just starting my long awaited blog - its quite daunting, hope I can think of enough interesting things to chat about. Talking of which, we are just about sorted out after our trip upto the York Miniature Fair, this was a good fair for us, which was reassuring as the tables had been moved around slightly from last year plus it was a lovely sunny day - and you wonder whether anyone will turn up or perhaps will they be in their gardens - it was great meeting you all including some of you who had travelled down from further North.

Some of my ladies went to new homes, I am sure they will be made to feel welcome - ( yes, I am talking about my dolls, I become very attached to them ) o well, now you will know that I am mad. Funnily enough my new modern doll Fallon travelled back down to Devon with one of my regular customers, hope she fits in Mrs Gabby.
